Industrial Design is a type of design aimed at designing and creating products, devices, any physically tangible objects that can be used in human life. Designing in industrial design begins with the formation of an idea, its feasibility and setting goals. Industrial designers then bring this idea to life by giving it physical shapes, colors, surface textures and more. Human sensations are of great importance in industrial and product design – we are not robots and it is important for us as humans what we feel when we see or pick up this or that object.
In everyday life, we are surrounded by tens of thousands of all kinds of objects and devices – computers, cars, smartphones, household table lamps and just mugs from which we drink coffee in the office. Industrial design engineers have a hand in all this. Thousands of firms around the world create industrial designs for a wide variety of products, making them more functional, modern and easier to use.
For example, compare the chess that you remember in your childhood and modern unusual chess sets. Do you feel the difference? This is the merit of industrial designers. Without them, our world would not be as diverse and interesting as we see it now.
At BeautifulLife Magazine, we have collected impressive industrial design examples across a wide range of niches, from simple but creative bookends to modern mopping floor robots, waterproof backpacks and cool multifunctional cases for your iphone. Some products can be so incredibly expensive that we decided to cover them separately.
