Japanese product design company BALMUDA is known for making the most gorgeous versions of household appliances like toasters, microwaves, and electric kettles, and now they’ve turned their attention to audio for the first time by launching The Speaker.
With The Speaker, BALMUDA is attempting to capture the feel and experience of live music in a rechargeable, portable speaker. The Speaker accomplishes this feat in both a visual and auditory sense. Visually, the device features a trio of LED lights that synchronize with the music at a precise speed of 0.004 seconds. Soundwise, it offers 360 degrees of clear, omnidirectional sound thanks to the combination of a 77mm full-range speaker, a custom-engineered drive unit, and an airtight glass tube body that ensures maximum crispness and clarity. The Speaker supports Bluetooth and also has a 3.5mm AUX input, and its lithium-ion polymer battery is good for about 7 hours of playback. The Speaker is currently available from BALMUDA in Japan only for ¥35,200 (~$319). So, meanwhile you can check more affordable products, like Lois Vuitton luxury speaker.
