Swiss brand Louis Erard and renowned French designer Alain Silberstein collaborated once again to create a series of three colourful watches whose production will be limited to 178 pieces for each model, 78 of which are to be sold in a collector’s box containing the three of them. With an entry price of CHF 3,500 and the collector’s box at CHF 11,111, Louis Erard continues its mission of making watchmaking works of art more accessible.
By purchasing Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein collector’s box set, the 78 owners will also get a personal, non-fungible token linked exclusively to their triptych. This guarantees and protects the authenticity of the limited edition, as well as containing all its technical specifications. In addition, collectors will have the opportunity to customise their digital token with a private message, making it even more unique. The triptych is comprised of three different timepieces: La Semaine, Le Régulateur II, and Le Chrono Monopoussoir.
All of them share a distinctive 40 mm case consisting of a frame with vertical sidebars called “brancards”, flanked by a conical crown. Different materials (grade 2 and grade 5 titanium) and finishes (microblasted and polished) highlight the geometries through contrasts.
The first timepiece, La Semaine Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein, indicates hours, minutes, seconds, date and “day”. A funny detail, the days do not have names, but rather playful smileys – small, stylised faces symbolising different moods. From grey Monday to radiant Sunday (or vice versa), depending on the mood of the wearer!
La Semaine Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein is powered by a customised automatic ETA 2836-2 calibre featuring a special openworked oscillating weight with Louis Erard symbol. This 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) movement guarantees an autonomy of 38 hours. Total thickness of the watch is 11.60 mm. Price: Euro 3,500
The second piece is Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein II. The number II refers to the fact that, in 2019, Alain Silberstein already revisited ‘Le Régulateur’ from Louis Erard, a timepiece that was selected for Geneva’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie and received the Product Design 2021 Red Dot Award. The watch clearly shows the distinctive traits of the Alain Silberstein’s unmistakable style: a large blue arrow hand for the minutes, a red triangle for the hours, and a small yellow serpentine hand for the seconds.
The self-winding regulator-type Sellita SW266-1 calibre is personalised with an openworked oscillating weight with Louis Erard symbol. The autonomy is 38 hours. As with the first model, total thickness is 11.60 mm. Price: Euro 3,500
The third creation is an all-new chronograph design, Le Chrono Monopoussoir Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein. It features central hour and minute hands together with the chronograph seconds hand and a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock. The hour hand is strongly characterised by a red circle pinned with a triangle.
The automatic monopusher chronograph is based on a 4Hz Sellita SW500MPCa calibre with 48 hours of power reserve delivered by the special openworked oscillating weight with Louis Erard symbol. Thickness: 13.90 mm. Price: Euro 4,500.
All models of Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein are water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet and matched to a comfortable nylon strap featuring a quick-fit closure. The tight mesh of the double-layer nylon offers tha advantage of not retaining moisture.
