Hublot and Pisa 1940 have introduced the Classic Fusion Pisa 1940 Special Edition, a watch exclusively designed for the Milan boutique. Unveiled during LVMH Watch Week in January, this timepiece honors Milan’s iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The watch is available in three versions: black ceramic, titanium, and Hublot’s proprietary King Gold. Each 42 mm x 10.4 mm case features polished and satin-finished surfaces, enhancing its modern and refined look. The deep blue sunray-finished dial showcases a pattern inspired by the Galleria’s glass dome architecture, reflecting Milanese heritage and Hublot’s distinctive design.
Chiara Pisa, CEO of Pisa 1940, noted the deliberate omission of a date window to maintain the minimalist aesthetic and preserve the architectural integrity of the design. Julien Tornare, Hublot’s CEO, emphasized that this special edition celebrates the fusion of watchmaking and architecture, blending innovation with Milan’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
The watch is powered by the self-winding HUB1110 calibre, visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a 48-hour power reserve. A blue structured rubber strap, secured by a folding clasp matching the case material, adds to its sporty yet elegant appeal.
Limited to 25 pieces – ten in ceramic, ten in titanium, and five in King Gold – the Classic Fusion Pisa 1940 Special Edition pays tribute to Milan’s enduring elegance and Hublot’s Art of Fusion philosophy. Prices start at €10,500 for the titanium model (ref. 542.NX.7170.RX.HBP24), €12,500 for the ceramic version (ref. 542.CX.7110.RX.HBP24), and €26,200 for the King Gold edition (ref. 542.OX.7180.RX.HBP24).
