Lotus has launched its latest innovation in bespoke luxury, the Lotus Chapman Bespoke program, and alongside it, the first model eligible for customization – the Eletre Carbon Hyper-SUV. This announcement marks an exciting development for elite auto enthusiasts seeking unparalleled luxury, performance, and exclusivity.
The Eletre Carbon represents the pinnacle of Lotus’ electric SUV offerings, holding the title as the world’s fastest dual-motor SUV. It has been introduced as part of Lotus’ new bespoke vehicle program, offering extensive customizations from exterior upgrades to a customizable interior, capped with significant performance enhancements.
Externally, the Eletre Carbon boasts numerous exposed carbon fiber components that accentuate its exotic and sophisticated aesthetics, paired with a model-exclusive satin black paint. This adds a unique flair that enhances its overall appeal.
Under the hood, the SUV receives a substantial power boost. The standard 603-hp engine has been replaced with an upgraded 905hp dual-motor system, enabling the Eletre Carbon to achieve 0-60 mph in a mere 2.95 seconds – a sharp improvement from the base model’s 4.5 seconds. However, this increase in power comes with a slight decrease in range, offering 254 to 280 miles on a single charge.
The interior is just as impressive, featuring premium leather options in black, light grey, or dark brown, provided by Bridge of Weir. It also includes dynamic quilting on the seats, a charcoal Alcantara-finished carbon fiber steering wheel, and extensive carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin.
The performance enhancements extend beyond the powertrain. The Eletre Carbon includes rear-wheel steering, a rear bias torque split, and active roll control. It offers several driving modes like Touring Sport, Track, and Off-Road. Optional 10-piston carbon-ceramic brakes with 420mm discs further underline its high-performance credentials.
With the Lotus Chapman Bespoke program, customers can now personalize their Eletre Carbon with custom paint, upgraded wheels, bespoke trim packages, and exclusive badging, among other options.
Priced at $229,900 and reserved for the Canadian and U.S. markets, the 2025 Lotus Eletre Carbon is currently available for order with deliveries expected to start in the first quarter of next year. This model not only elevates the driving experience but also enhances the overall ownership experience by offering an exclusive gateway into the world of custom-configurable luxury vehicles.
