Transforming a big, shouty, fire-breathing American hypercar into a stealthier, track-focused machine requires extensive effort. It took about 2,350 hours to create Hennessey’s Venom F5 ‘Stealth Series’. This special edition is part of the Venom F5’s total production run of 99 cars, but only three of these two-seat hypercars will be built. They are based on the ‘Revolution’ track-honed specification, and unsurprisingly, they’ve already sold out.
The enhancements to the Venom F5 ‘Stealth Series’ do not involve mechanical changes. The car’s 6.6-litre twin-turbo V8, nicknamed ‘Fury’, already delivers a staggering 1,817 horsepower and produces a blood-curdling soundtrack. Instead, the modifications focus on aesthetics and aerodynamics. The car features extensive use of exposed carbon fiber across various components including the front splitter, mirrors, roof scoop, engine cover, side intakes, sills, rear wing, and rear diffuser.
Attention to detail is evident not just in the choice of materials but also in the finishes. The showcased Revolution Roadster features an ‘elemental green’ paint job complemented by gold accents. Additionally, the car sports matte-tinted wheels, black calipers, and a richly appointed interior featuring more carbon fiber, charcoal leather, and exclusive embroidery. An interior plaque ensures that owners know their Venom stands out from the others, with badges aptly reading ‘Stealth’ on this more inconspicuous hypercar.
John Hennessey, commenting on the series, highlighted the significance of craftsmanship, quality, beauty, and attention to detail. “Combining all these elements into the Stealth Series creates a unique art piece that celebrates the finest craftsmanship alongside raw, visceral, unapologetic American horsepower.”
The debut of the Stealth Series took place at the 2024 Monterey Car Week, where the added bespoke paint and new carbon fiber aero package featuring a new rear wing, roof-mounted air intake, and a larger front splitter and rear diffuser were showcased. Underneath, the formidable 6.6-liter, twin-turbo ‘Fury’ V8 engine from the Revolution model was retained.
With the Revolution model already proving its capabilities around COTA with a time of 2m 10.9s and reaching speeds of up to 271.6mph, Hennessey has its sights set on surpassing 300mph in a Venom F5, which promises to be quite the spectacle. The Venom F5 ‘Stealth Series’ not only embodies extreme performance but also exclusive, artisanal beauty, setting a new benchmark in the world of American hypercars.
