This rather destructive fashion brand has previously merged t-shirts from 10 streetwear fashion brands in a similar manner. The Birkin Bag, made by Hermès, is revered in high-street fashion. What Makes Shoes So Expensive?

Why do some shoes cost as much as a house? When we look at the most expensive shoes in the world, it’s not just the look that makes them special.

First, think about who makes these shoes. They’re often put together by hand, by people who’ve spent years learning their craft. Imagine someone working carefully on every little detail, making sure each shoe is perfect. That takes a lot of time and skill.

Then, there’s what they’re made of. We’re not talking about ordinary materials. These shoes might have leather that’s hard to find or jewels that you’d usually see in a museum. This makes them not just shoes, but pieces of art.

But it’s also about how it feels to wear or own something very few people can. Wearing the most expensive shoes isn’t just about fashion. It’s a sign that you’re part of a very exclusive club.

So, when we wonder why these shoes are so pricey, it’s all these things together. It’s about the care, the rare materials, and the feeling of wearing a dream on your feet.

  1. Don’t peg me as a buzzkill, but sprinkling shoes with diamonds and selling them at the price of a private jet, claiming they’re the world’s most expensive footwear… Well, that’s really something that grabs attention and intrigues people. Seems to me this world went bonkers a long time ago!

    1. I agree with you. Sprinkling anything with diamonds can make it the most expensive in the world. I’ve seen a bicycle covered in diamonds, and it was also the priciest…

However, with shoes, I believe there’s a nuance. Such shoes are only needed to attract attention and are worn just once – for instance, at a gala with the royal family or at the Oscars. In that case, arriving at an event in the world’s most expensive shoes, completely encrusted with diamonds, is not considered in bad taste at all.. Quite the contrary. So, I think there is practical value in such items – it’s just that they are inaccessible to most people.

  2. You claim this is the most expensive shoe in the world, but what about Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s golden sandals? The very same unique sandals that Carter discovered in his tomb. Their value is reportedly so high that this pair automatically ranks as the most expensive in the world. Granted, they are not purchasable or wearable by anyone, but if we are to speak objectively about the absolute most expensive footwear, this pair should undoubtedly be first on the list.

    1. omg hey Timothee. see you on set tmrw! i won’t say how many of these shoes i have worn. dont want to cause jealousy! 😉

i have been also astonished to the heavy prices. we are living too much below poverty level. we can not imagine.

  6. Putting the shoes on will require me to walk with bodyguards everywhere! Lol!

    1. ridiculoussssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      bad teaste.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

        1. The only thing I want them to do is to lower the price and all of the comments stop being mean NOW

  7. I just wear sandles. Likes what’s the point of buying expensive shoes, their just shoes. Like just buy shoes for 80 or less, you at less have shoes

    1. Because their rich and got luxury unlike you that’s why. Don’t make dumb statements like these

  8. they are dumb and just why would someone make those shoes that expensive it is really dumb and just a wast of money.

    1. It’s true though like they’re kind of ugly for $20m shoes. I have better looking shoes that cost €150

    2. If one day I get rich I would spend my money much more wisely than some other dumb money spenders. They don’t even look nice

  9. omg wtf the shoes are kina werid like the ruby shoes top 5 ew but some of the shoes are FIRE!

  10. These are the ugliest shoes/high heels that I’ve seen in my life I wouldn’t pay that much money on a pair of shoes even if I had the money to buy them so I’m not saying just because I can’t afford them take a close look at the shoes and u’ll see that they’re really ugly shoes so if you buy houses with that money u’ll always make money but on a pair of shoes u’ll end up having to give them away for cheap

      1. these shoes are the ugliest fing thing that I have seen they are NO investment I would cry for days if I wore these pls help the people who are waisting OUR diamonds on these ugly az shoes and help the people who are buying them bc they need to be hospitalized for their crimes kill me pls

  11. I just think the shoes are meant to be to use for being rich and having money but having money can be used for something different than buying $100m dollars worth of shoes or cars but money is what makes you better by using it or spending people spend years over making a lot of money and money is good to have but then it can make people greedy over buying a lot of things like cars, shoes, houses, other stuff but be better with money and use it wisely

  12. I only liked 2 pairs of these the rest were ugly. Not worth all the money they say

    1. I know right. I would rather have a whole collection of supercars than that.

  13. either you pay for your house taxes that month, or buy these shoes. Lol why would you even buy them???

  14. Wow!
These are really pricey shoes here. Obviously they are worn for their luxury sake.
Nonetheless, I thought a Gucci product should have come in, and even the likes of Berluti

  15. There are two shoes you missed:
    1. Michael Jordan’s Flu Game Shoes, $100K
    2. The shoe thrown at George W. Bush, $10M

  16. Madness….absolute madness….while people live in poverty. The only thing that can justify this is if the meaning of everything is objectively nihilistic.

    Madness.

  17. 15 million dollars for a stupid ass shoes not really worth the price 15 million dollars you can buy like 60 average houses i would rather burn my money than buy it….

  18. 17 coincidentally being my favourite number , gold the new black and the JADA Dubai and PASSION jewellers being a stunning , elegant and not over the top design I’d like to build a home around the shoes. Those shoes need to be in a 40 ft crystal tunnel with golden rain chandalier lighting every angle from above ( much like the Hermitage chandalier Edwalton , out most recent completed project ).

    GP

  19. I kinda like the gingerbread house one, but honestly, I am not paying that much!

  20. I think some of them are weird, but some of the heels and the sneakers are pretty nice to me. I don’t see why I should spend 2-3 million on a nice pair of heels, but i think they’re nice. it depends on everyone’s style.

    1. And leave behind for someone else to enjoy and/or waste after you worked so hard for it..!!

    2. I agree with you we can’t take our money with us wen we pass away

  21. why would people buy these ugly shoes other then to flex there shoes have gold or diamonds in em..? or do people buy this to sell it for more

  22. I love me some shoes I really do and these designers are absolutely amazing but 15 million dollars for those but ugly shoes is completely out of line

    1. I agree – totally love me some gorgeous well made shoes, but that pair is outrageously wrong. They do not look expensive. And what’s with the weird white icing piped (badly) around them? Surely she could have found something more exquisite to use to make them look more delicate, attractive and at least worth half the price… I might think about wearing them then, lol.
